Formentera is half an hour from Ibiza Town and belongs to a different decade. Most charters spend more time there than they planned to.
Overview
Ibiza has a reputation that describes about four square kilometres of it. The north-west coast — Cala Salada, Benirrás, Portinatx — is pine forest running into clear water.
Formentera is the real prize: sandbanks, seagrass meadows and water so shallow the boat appears to be floating on nothing.
The Ses Salines seagrass is protected, so anchoring is on designated sand only. Our captains carry the current charts.
